Two Poems: Eunoia & Life

Eunoia

All wonders in the universe
Reside in the palm of my hand.
The play of flesh & blood & bone,
And art of the molecules.
Even chaos holds its art, follow rules
A dance of beauty to delight.
We take this miracle for granted; fear
The journey that ends in a hearse.

Life

In this mad world where circumstance
Runs hand in hand with chance
We rush about from day to day,
Forgetting how we used to play.
Betrayed by our serious thoughts
And all the things that they have wrought
We live to work and work to live
With nothing for ourselves to give.
